About this game
Master Checkers presents Italian checkers as a compact contest of diagonal movement and compulsory captures. You can challenge the computer, play against someone locally, or meet an online opponent. Ordinary pieces advance toward the far side of the board, where reaching the final row crowns a king. Kings can move backward as well as forward, changing which parts of the board they can threaten. Success depends on reading the capture opportunities a move creates for both players, especially when several jumps can follow one another.
How to play
Use the dark squares and move ordinary pieces diagonally forward. To capture, jump over an opposing piece into the empty diagonal square beyond it. Captures are mandatory, and a move can contain multiple jumps. Look through the whole available sequence before choosing a route. Advance pieces toward promotion while checking what your opponent can capture next. Once crowned, use a king's ability to move in either direction to improve your position.
