About this game
Tall Grass is a turn-based horror exploration game in which each patch of vegetation can conceal a reward or a monster. Cleared tiles show how many hidden monsters occupy the eight surrounding spaces, turning the field into a deduction puzzle. A gate can open before everything has been searched, leaving you to decide whether to leave safely or continue gathering shards and upgrades before the Pumpking awakens. Changing weather adds another condition to read each day.
How to play
Move with WASD or the arrow keys; on mobile, tap a direction or swipe. Enter grass to cut it and step into an awakened monster to attack. Compare nearby numbers before choosing an uncertain tile, and weigh further exploration against taking the open gate. Nothing advances until you move. Choose a boon with 1/2 or left/right, pause with P, mute with M and start or restart with Enter or Space.
